What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineer at Canonical, you will collaborate remotely with a globally distributed team. Your responsibilities will include writing clean web service APIs to support CLI and web frontend clients, predominantly using Python. Additionally, you’ll design and implement new features and enhancements, review code produced by other engineers, and contribute to discussions aimed at finding optimal solutions. Occasional global travel for internal and external events may be required.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate has demonstrated proficiency in developing public-facing APIs and web applications using Python. You possess a strong technology background with a focus on backend code and infrastructure. Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, particularly in designing efficient data models and tuning queries, is essential. Proficiency with Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform is preferred. A degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field, along with a passion for technology and collaborative work, is required.
