Description

At Planet Argon, we specialize in providing support and maintenance services for Ruby on Rails applications across various industries. As a Remote Ruby on Rails Contractor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support to our clients and collaborating with our team. This position requires 20-30 hours per week commitment, with the possibility of extension based on mutual interest.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and maintenance for existing Ruby on Rails applications.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Write automated tests for Ruby on Rails and React apps.
  • Assist with Git operations and version control.
  • Participate in Scrum-esque project workflows.
  • Contribute to software design patterns and implementation.

Requirements

To thrive in this position, you need:

  • 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • Proficiency in SQL, GraphQL, Git, and CI/CD systems.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Heroku, Docker, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely.
  • Ability to attend occasional meetings within EST business hours.

Location

This is a remote position, and the ideal candidate should be comfortable working within 1-2 hours of the EST timezone. South and Latin American contractors are encouraged to apply.
