Responsibilities:
Your role as a Backend Engineer is multifaceted, demanding a blend of technical prowess and strategic thinking. From driving engineering projects to collaborating with cross-functional teams, your contributions shape the future of home care.
What You Bring
Experience: At least 5-7 years in partner marketing, alliance marketing, or a related field.
Skills: Strong strategic thinking, project management, communication, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
What We Are Looking For
Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years in engineering.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language, with the flexibility to switch between multiple languages. Our stack primarily includes Go, Python, and PHP, with Swift, Kotlin, and Java for our mobile apps.
- Solid experience building software on relational databases like Postgres or MySQL.
- Ability to write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code.
- A curious, data-driven, and critical problem solver who rigorously breaks down complex problems and understands the trade-offs needed to deliver impactful products.
Bonus Points:
Experience with AWS or GCP? Familiarity with big data ecosystems? Consider it a plus. At Thumbtack, diversity of skills fuels creativity, and every contribution, big or small, is celebrated.
Compensation:
For candidates living in various locations within the United States, Thumbtack offers competitive salaries ranging from $137,000 to $177,000, reflecting our commitment to attracting top-tier talent and ensuring their efforts are well-rewarded.
